There is a new most-retweeted tweet of all time. It’s an earnest plea for chicken nuggets.

For the previous month, Carter Wilkinson, a 16-year-old residing in Nevada, has been on a quest to get the most-retweeted tweet of all time, beating

Ellen DeGeneres’s Oscar selfie

.

Flying previous Ellen’s three.four million retweets – and reaching 18 million – would have earned him a year’s value of free chicken nuggets from Wendy’s, in accordance with their Twitter dialog.

18 million would have been greater than 5 instances the variety of retweets Ellen’s record-breaking selfie would have had. So Wendy’s settled for most retweets of all time as a substitute. On Tuesday, the tweet surpassed that objective and Wendy’s stated they will cough up the nuggets.

“You’ve greater than earned our respect … and the nuggets,” Kurt Kane, the chief idea and advertising and marketing officer for Wendy’s Company,

said in a statement provided to The New York Times

.

Wendy’s can also be donating $100,000 to the Dave Thomas Foundation For Adoption, which Wilkinson requested his now-104,000 followers to donate to.

And now, lastly, Carter has his nuggs.
